I have always had skin allergies but on Thursday my skin started to swell and blister so I called the OOH service who asked me to go in. After blood tests and examination the consultant said it was Erethyma Mulitforma caused by an allergic reaction to a viral infection. I had IV steroids and am now at home with a course of steroids to take but wondered if anyone had any experience of this.
I suppose what I would like to know is how I manage this from now on? Is it likely to reoccur and is there anything I can do to prevent it?
