Are pain free miscarriages quite common?

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding on and off since the day after my period was due. It has slowly ramped up and I now believe I am in the early stages of a miscarriage.

Blood is now like a period and is marking a lot of the pad and has been since about 7am. Thing is I feel absolutely fine. I have read that the cramping tends to come with expelling the sac, so I assume i will start cramping at some point?

It's very strange just wandering about the house waiting for some pain. Not sure what to do with myself!

Also, I had an early scan on Friday and was due to go back in two weeks time. I assume I should try and move that forward once the miscarriage is over?

Thanks, hope this isn't triggering for anyone Sad xx

Mine didn't really hurt. At the risk of sounding really blunt, at this point there isn't much to expel so the pain is luck of the draw.

Sorry you are going through this. Look after yourself emotionally. Sad

I had 4 weeks of sludgey brown bleeding followed by about 10 minutes of mild cramps and some bright red blood. Then I had a D&C.

I met people in hospital, who had cramps and bleeding over several days and had not lost their baby.

It seems there is quite a lot of variation and definitely the luck of the draw :(

I too found the emotional side of it much harder to bear. Be kind to yourself.

I'm ok. Just rung the midwife who was so sweet and of course I cried!! I've been able to keep it together as everyone else has been very practical and haven't actually said 'oh gosh, I'm so sorry, are you ok?' . Directly I got some sympathy I cried lol, pathetic.

She is going to talk to the early scan unit and see if they want to move the scan forward to sometime this week. I would probably prefer that just to give me some closure but I have no idea if this could go on for weeks.
