Pain in stomach, just under the boob area...help?

For the past 3 days I have had this pain. It is not like a shooting pain, more of a ache. It is about half 3 " lower than my breast bone. It is causing a little discomfort and have had advice from mum and sister, suggested it could be trapped wind, but could it last that long (and I cant make myself burp), or a stomach bug, but I though they lasted 24 hours. Any advice tips would be helpful.

Bouncy - I get this quite a lot, especially if stressed: it is probably acid reflux, and if so, it will respond to antacids, small meals, cutting out caffeine and chocolate, and not lying down after a heavy meal. Take anatacids for a couple of days and see if that makes a difference. HTH

Which side is it on?? and does it go round to your back sometimes?? It could be gall stones as this pain can last a while and does feel like trapped wind. What colour is your skin?? If it's darker/more tanned/yellower than usual then is could be jaundice that is associated with gall stones too.
