Anyone been sterilised under 30?

Dont want any more children. My patience stick has burnt itself out and I now I would feel resentful of another child sucking years out of me.
Do they sterilise you if your under 30?

How much under 30 are you ? I was sterilised at 30. I think if you've got good enough reasons and you have thought it through they shouldn't stop you. They asked me how I would feel if my baby died and I had been sterilised. (did want sterilising at c section but waited 3 months). They may ask if you've thought about your dp/dh having the snip.

I would like one too and also under 30 (27) with 4 DC's *and if 1 died god forbid-there could be no replacing them.
How much recovery is involved?

27. I suddendly morbidly thought about if dds died but I wouldnt want to replace them with new ones....surely DP should have the snip but its me whos 100% about not wanting anymore. Although he doesnt its not him that has to do the pregnant, feeding, no sleep, teletubbies/tantrums for 2 years, its me. And I dont want to!

I told them the same about no replacing the child you lost. I also said I could go out and get run over by a bus tomorrow.
The operation it's self is day surgery done by key hole. My PIl looked after the children the day I went in (my 30th birthday but not alot I could do about that) and the following day and I ways fine after that.

If you can get DH to have the snip - its a less risky operation for men.

I think it depends on your GP, mine would do it at any age (over 18) if you already had one child.

i was sterilised on wednesday. im 27. i have 2 ds's and a m/c in march. i have endo. was booked in for laparoscopy and diathermy and also 'thermachoice' (which kind of 'kills' the lining of the womb for heavy periods) and as there is such a high risk that if you become preg after the 'ablation' (thernachoice) of a late late m/c / stillbirth that i decided to be sterilised.

i would have loved another baby, but im lucky, i have my 2 boys and hopefully now i have my helath back aswell.
