Flu? Or just a bug.

I felt a bit off it Monday daytime. By night I felt like I'd been run over by a steam roller, aches and pains everywhere. I alternate between burning up and sweating till my clothes and hair are damp and feeling cold and shivery, especially at night. My appetite is up and down but reduced a lot. I'm coughing and sneezing. I can't sleep properly at night but just want to nap all day, I have literally no energy If I take paracetamol I get a bit of respite (have done that now) but it comes back. It feels too bad to be just a cold, has anyone had flu and knows how it feels? Am on the sofa with the ipad and DS2 waiting for DH to get back, he was half day today and I have DS1 off sick too, he has helped a bit but DH will be day off tomorrow thank goodness.

TBH probably a nasty cold virus rather than flu. When I had flu i could barely even get up to go to the loo and was flat out in bed for nearly two weeks. Didn't watch telly, pick up a book or a paper or do anything.......What you have sounds horrid though. Hope you begin to feel better soon.
