Lost Tampon - sorry if tmi

I can't remember taking out my tampon on Saturday evening. I've had a "delve" but can't find one.

Should I go to the GP to be on the safe side?

I am feel stupid going and also I'm still bleeding.

Not sure on what to do.

Make an appointment just to check. I guarantee your doc will have had patients in for this before!

Yes, go. I didn't realise I'd left one up there (couldn't feel/see anything) as I rarely use them. It was only when I got an increasingly dreadful discharge/smell etc and thought I'd got some horrible disease, that I went to the GP who did and internal and produced this heinous dead mouse like object. She gave me antibiotics just to be on the safe side. I was lucky not to end up with toxic shock or similar. It was the last thing I'd expected. Don't worry about the bleeding. Truly they won't be bothered one bit.

I went 2 weeks ago. There wasn't one up there luckily and the nurse couldn't have cared less about looking up my bloody flue!

Honestly, it'll be fine if you think you need to be checked.
