OK, so I posted here the other day because my GP told me over the phone that my hb was 8

I have now asked for a print-out of my test results and it turns out that my hb is ACTUALLY 11 (so still a little 'under' but nowhere near as low as she told me!) but my FERRITIN is 8 (should be over 30)

Can anyone help me interpret this...?

All I know is my ferritin was 49 and my trichologist told me it was way too low for healthy hair. Four months of iron tablets, one daily and my ferritin read 104

yep you need ferritin over say 70 at least. think gp should prescribe at that level
