Dental abscess not going - 6 weeks on now

Hi,
Has anyone had a dental abscess that after antibiotics and root canal it just hasn't gone?
Am guessing it's a different tough that requires treatment after all of this or could it just be that the abscess actually needs to be cut out to go away?

Root treatment does not always work.There are a number of reasons for this.
You need to see your dentist so they can check out why it has failed.
