I went to the GP 2 weeks ago, I have had joint pain since I was very young which is now causing difficulties in all aspects of my life.

She sent me for blood tests, and asked me to come in to see her again in 2 week....which is around now. Anyhow I rang the GP for another appointment (the earliest being in 2 weeks time) and while on the phone asked if the blood results had come back, to which the receptionist reluctantly had a look and said all was clear, then with a rather concerned tone said oh you have elevated white blood cells and it said query infection. Then she very shakely asked if I was on any medication (which I wasn't at the time) and said she will put a note on for the GP to ask if I needed to come in sooner to discuss, then asked me to call back later that evening. Which I have been trying to do and STILL have not been able to get anyone to answer the bloody phone!

I have had a look around about the above but I don't know which white blood cells are elevated so isn't much help really, and after the change in the receptionists voice I'm a bit concerned TBH.

When she said query infection....would inflammation of the joints be classed as infection?
