15mth dd has red rash over face, arms, legs - what is it?

DD2 (aged 15mths) had developed a red rash over legs, arms and face. Otherwise alright except mild raised temperature and loose bowels.

Any ideas? Could it be slapped cheek?? (on arms and legs?) How long will it take to go - it does appear to fade and increase in intensity of colour intermittently. She's had it for 2 days.

Has she had antibiotics lately, or been under the weather?

My dd had a rash all over her arms, legs, face and back and gp said it was a viral rash as she had had 2 ear infections and antibiotics recently.

Slapped cheek is only bright red on the face with a lacy rash on trunk and limbs so doubt it is that. Both ours had a sunburn looking rash which started on legs and spread up to face before fading , a couple of months back . Took about 3/4 days to clear. Was most likely viral . dr couldn't rule out a reaction to something when ds had it but a bit too coincidental that dd came out in it about 10 days after him though.

Has your dd had mmr recently as that might provoke such a reaction ? Or could it even be a heat rash ?
