I have been itching like maniac on both the inside & the surrounding of the anus area and on the vulva/ top bit if the lips. This has been going on for the last 3 months at leastConfused
My Gp told be that I have a thrush but (the tablet & cream) & the washing/moisturising cream she prescribed didn't help much.
Please help I am in real agony.
Many thanks ConfusedConfused

Worms?

throckenholt · 21/01/2014 07:47

back to the gp - obviously something more than simple thrush.

Hope you get it sorted soon - 3 months is a long time.

Do you have a GUM clinic near you where you can make a direct appointment or go to a drop-in clinic? They're the experts.

Thank you for your messages. I am at the Gp to see the nurse for a swab.

If the itching is worse in the evening or at night it could be worms. We've all had them recently. Absolutely horrible, but easy to treat.
You could try having a look or asking someone to in the evening as that's when they are more active.

Lichen sclerosus? GPs vary from being able to diagnose it to having no idea about it at all. A dermatologist with an interest in vulval dermatology can be a useful person to see. Most cases can be treated with steroids (I think).

I would treat for thread worms first and foremost. Then take it from there.

Yes, the itchy is worst at night
I heard it could be due to stress..!

one pill and a chance of sweet relief.. isn't that worth a shot?
