Thyroid eye disease

A specialist today told me I had 'mild' symptoms of thyroid eye disease (my right eyelid is slightly more lifted than my left, making my eyes appear a little bit uneven, particularly in photos).

He wasn't too fussed, basically saying that it could get a lot worse, but it may well not and that he'd just need to see me regularly. He also said that I needed to check in with my regular doctor to keep an eye on my thyroid.

I had my thyroid checked about 6wks ago and I was 1.something - so well within the 'normal' range. My doctor therefore has been insisting that I don't have any thyroid problems.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? Any advice? Anything I should watch out for?
