Feeling anxious about pelvic scans tomorrow

I'm having a 'transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound' tomorrow to check on IUD that's been causing pain and to look for causes of ovarian pain (probably unrelated). I'm quite nervous, about the scans and about what they might find.

Any reassurance or advice? Thanks.

Transvaginal ultrasound doesn't hurt and is fairly quick. The sonographers are usually lovely and will understand and provide reassurance if you're feeling apprehensive.

Not sure what they might see, perhaps IUD is not positioned very well and they could correct it? The scan doesn't hurt, but the gel can be a bit cool.good luck.

Thanks. Glad it doesn't hurt. Enough pain already, without adding more.
