I had light bleeding between periods for two months in Oct/Nov of last year. I had an ultrasound, smear and some swabs taken for STIs / infection. All clear. Periods went back to normal in Dec and last one (Jan). Am about mid cycle now. The last two days I have had tiny smears of blood when I wipe and today a greenish discharge (like snot). It doesnt smell and no other symptoms.

I'm going to go to the GUM clinic just to be on the safe side (although am married and we are both, to my knowledge, faithful!).

Have googled myself mad tonight. Could this just be some weird but normal symptom? Is green discharge and spotting ever normal?!

Midcycle spotting is fairly common, as is cervical mucus. Green, though...

You can get a green discharge with Trichomoniasis, which IS sexually transmitted, but I think it's one of those things that can live without symptoms in the penis and occasionally causes trouble if your vaginal flora is out of whack. (so it wouldn't indicate infidelity, just that you've been unlucky)

Best thing is to get in to the GUM clinic just to ease your mind and get it sorted.

err no. But could be just something mildly harmless. good for you for getting checked out though. In my area of work I hear similar cases all too often and many choose to ignore symptoms for a very long time. try not to Google though, will only worry yourself unecisserily x
