Pain under left rib

Please advise, feeling really low.
Nagging pain under left rib worried it's cancer if I'm honest.
Had blood tests, kidney liver function, fbc, esr, crp all ok apart from urea and electrolytes lowered but doc says it's only a worry if raised. Ultrasound on pancreas liver kidneys etc all ok so what can it be? X

Could it be IBS?

I get a pain like this sometimes.It stays for days at a time and nothing makes it go away. Then it often develops into an episode of stomach cramps etc.

Sound familiar?

I wondered this. It's there all the time but sometimes it's worse than others. No stomach cramps. Its a nagging pain rather than agonising x

I get this,halfway between the bottom of my ribs and my hip bone,docs have put it down to IBS,nagging pain for hours on end but then suddenly goes,you have my sympathy.

Hiatus hernia? Is it worse after eating or when lying down?
I've had one years ago and after a course of tablets and a diet overhaul it went and never came back.

Eating yes but not lying down really. How do they test for that? X

It was a long time ago, but as I recall I had an examination by the GP and a scan. Or was it an x-Ray??
I was going through a really stressful time when I got it, which is a contributing factor.

Ask GP about it. I'd never heard of it before I had one.

Don't ask me, I have a pain in the diodes on my left hand side too, dr can't find anything, guess I'm just a miserable old robot.

Costochondritis

I had a similar pain under my right rib, and doctors said it might be swollen glands.

I found that drinking a lot of water helped.

Would costochondritis be on one side? Xx
