2.6yr old - body odour! Any advice out there?

My ds has been really sweaty since the hot weather started and he really pongs! The thing is, it's not like a normal b.o smell, tbh it smells more like something is rotten, rotten fruit kind of odour - it's pretty unpleasant. Obviously he gets regular baths every day, and I wipe him doen frequently, but it doesn't help. It kind of clings to him! Plus he's always soaking wet with sweat. I feel so bad for him but don't know what more to do.

He's also been suffering from constipation really badly - could this be related? He drinks plenty of semi-skimmed milk and water, never gets fizzy drinks, eats a pretty healthy diet with the occasional treat - although he doesn't have much of an appetite in this heat.

I've googled this but can't find any info - does anyone have experience of similar?

I'd consult your GP - there are a few actual medical things that can make sweat smell funny and it's worth getting him checked out just in case.

Hi, I would also get a GP checkup. Kids shouldn't smell until their hormones kick in a bit later towards teens. My 2.5 yr old sweats like buckets at the moment from the heat and is always drenched but not any smell (not trying to compare!) He was a bit constipated earlier in the week so we upped his fluids. I recommend getting lots more water, ice lollies etc into him to keep him hydrated. Let him run around without a shirt or shorts to help cool down too. But get him checked out anyway just in case.
