Plastic Surgery Tomorrow - Nervous

MrsTenthDoctor · 16/01/2014 21:18

I'm having mini tummy tuck with lipo/sculpture. It's under general anesthetic.

I wrote a letter/some words to the DC this morning and I have organised their stuff so it's easier for DH to find if I never come home.

I haven't told anyone how scared I am because then they will be so I'm here instead. Please no horror stories, I'm freaking out a little bit.

Ah well, nevermind. I'm off to bed to worry and not sleep...

Good luck!
Report back and any chance of before and after pictures?
I would never have cosmetic surgery myself but love hearing about success stories.

I was terrified about my op (6 hours) and especially the anaesthetic ... but it went well and I was fine :)

How exciting! It's only natural to be nervous, but you will be fine! How long are you in hospital for?

Please let us know how you get on. Good luck!

How did it go? Hope you are happy with the results and not too sore Thanks

YesAnastasia · 19/01/2014 14:02

I name changed but I CBA anymore, I doubt anyone's interested enough in RL to out me :)

I am incredibly sore and I look a couple of months pregnant today because of the swelling. I'm just about to have a shower so I guess I'll see more soon but it's not going to look good, there's always horrendous bruising! I had a 'mons lift' too so that area feels weirdly tight and sore.

I also haven't eaten much in 3 days so that might help with appearances when the swelling goes down.

cardamomginger · 19/01/2014 20:43

Well done! I had abdominal surgery a couple of years ago and I remember the 'interesting' shades of bruising that came out. And the swelling!

How are you feeling otherwise? Pain OK? Are you home now?

Have some Thanks.

Thanks for the flowers Caramom, I'm feeling loads better now (thank goodness because I've got the school run back, I know, it's outrageous).

I'm still scared to look properly yet because I don't think I'll be happ with it, it still feel massive in the areas that it shouldn't Hmm

I get very sore as my painkillers wear off and in the night when I've been in a funny position but apart from that it's fine. I'm not looking forward to changing my dressings.
