(am never normally scared of stuff like this but as I almost vomited when DD stepped on it by accident and was flushed and sweating for a good 20 minutes I am a littel nervous)

Probably.

My SIL is a podiatrist and has done mine 2 or 3 times.

It's not as bad as labour though.

Oh. Was going to say (if it was tomorrow) go to Boots & get some magnesium sulpahte paste (drawing ointment). Mix well, spread on sorely toe & cover with a plaster. The mag sulph draws out the pus and makes the toe less sore.
If you're going at 6, it probably won't work. Sorry

I tried to get Mag sulph in Boots once and a few stores didn't have it but my dependable old style chemist came up trumps (they also had Lansinoh when Boots didn't)- just a little plug for the small shops...

As far as going to chiropodist/podiatrist goes when I had an ingrown toenail - I came away from appointment completely relieved. Prior to going I had been in absolute agony. It was sore for a while afterwards but weel worth it. The podiatrist also explained to me what the problem was and I have been able to avoid a reoccurance by cutting my nails properly since.

it barely hurt at all .. well not as much as a 2 year old kicking it

it now looks very impressive with a huge white bandage

phew
