SpaceCadet has pleurisy...I live three hours away, any ideas for cheering her up or helping?

She's been hit by illness again and again recently, and I would love to and give her a break.. she's stuck at home with four kids (one extra staying over too) and pleurisy with an absentish exish DH and an absentish uselessish mother...

How can I cheer her up? I wish I could go round every day and annoy her! But it's so far on public transport with two littlies...

shall we all send her trillions of cards?

They're not really TBH and she's just had pne... pne..... that chest thing too.

I want to go and stay and be all matronly but she doesn't have the room atm... wish I had a magic wand, I'd move next door! (I would anyway I think she's fab )

I suggest sending DVDs for the children to watch. And some chocolate (NOT for the children).

DVDs and chocs good idea, maybe also we could suss out if there are any local MN'ers who could cook the odd meal and drop it around? One less thing for her to worry about.

im just prone to things like this since i had pnuemonia and ive recently had a chest infection.

yes i have actually..have felt quite well, its just one of those things, im not dwelling on it

bloody hell, your cheerful, i had it once and that was more than enough for me!

its not nice but i think im getting used to pluerisy, pnuemonia etc!!!!
