Drink very weak squash, settle down in front of a tv and just put a film on or something you like to distract you. If you have nappy cream in the house make use of it! Also keep a bucket or bowl nearby. It is awful and you just have to get through it. Good luck!

Norovirus sucks big time.

Drink little and often, don't worry about food. Don't worry about food either if you or DC 's aren't hungry - appetite comes back. Just try and keep hydrated and sleep as much as possible.

Double sheet the beds!

As soon as someone needs a bed stripping, re-make like this: waterproof sheet if you have one, old blanket, towel, fitted sheet, another blanket, towel, sheet, thin duvet or opened out cheap sleeping bag, another blanket.

Then if top layer gets soiled at 3am you can just strip it off revealing clean bedding beneath.

Get all non-essential teddies out of the firing line...

Dump pukey bedding in the bath as you go & fill the bath with cold water to lift off the worse of it. Check each horrible item for 'lumps' to rinse off before running through the wash on 90%.

Survive on toast & tea, it's relatively easy to keep down & not too grim to throw up.

Thanks all - nausea subsiding and diarrhoea stopping. Just feel wiped!
