have flu jab or not .

hi not sure if this is the right place to ask , my dd is 16 and has asthma , she went to docs about different thing , and they said she needs a flu jab as she gets asthma and is in the at risk group , they have never mentioned this before now , is it a new thing they offer ? is it a good idea ? any one had any problems with it , she just wanted to know the pros and cons really , thank you in advance for any advice .

My DD is 17 and has asthma and has had a flu jab every year since she was 4 and has never had a problem with them at all - apart from the slightly sore arm you would get from any injection.

Proper flu is awful and with asthma it can cause complications, so personally I think it is well worth having done.
