Hiya I'm after some advise really I'm 35 and still b/feeding my 16 month old son I keep getting shooting pains in my left breast and have noticed lately they seem a little swollen like during pregnancy.
This morning my husband found a hard pea sized lump in my breast it feels like it's in the vein I don't want to make a fuss and waste my docs time any advise?

Go to see the doctor. There are loads of things it could be - small cyst, blocked duct, etc., but it's impossible to know for sure without being checked out. No doctor would ever think you were wasting time if you went to see them with a breast lump.
I worried hugely about a lump in my breast which grew and became painful. Was referred by GP to breast clinic (they do urgent referrals on things they aren't certain about, even if it's really unlikely to be sinister). A mammogram, an ultrasound and a needle to draw out fluid later, and it turned out to be a cyst. Much better to know for sure.

I agree, go and see the go. Chances are that it's nothing sinister but it's always best to check. If there is any doubt at all they will refer you for further checks eg a mammogram within 2 weeks so don't fear the worst if they do this, it's just that they need to be sure
