How do you know the difference? I always struggle with this, have been fighting a cold for a week it is getting better but still have some pain in chest and a cough and feel generally tired, should i go to the doctors or not? i do have asthma but i am not wheezy or breathless at all.
TIA

I went to see Gp as I've had the same; hacking cough since boxing day, chest pain and awful phelgm. GP could hear crackles in chest so I have a weeks course of anti b. If you have asthma all the more reason to go

U should go to the gp generally for me chest pain means chest infection I'm also asthmatic and stupidly left a chest infection thinking it was viral and would go on it's own it didn't I ended up v poorly and over a yr on my chest is still not right. Better to get checked and b told ur fine than leave it and find y should have gone earlier
