whiplash - driving

if you've had whiplash how long before you drove again?

I'm getting shakey at the thought of driving although being in a car is fine. I'm think I'm not ok to drive yet because of my neck, I turn it very slowly. I think this is why I'm getting shaky but I am worried it's not

I was involved in an accident just over a month ago and I'm not driving yet because of my whiplash injuries. I travel as a passenger, but I don't have enough movement in my back or neck to drive.

If it's nerves that are stopping you, why not book a driving lesson to reassure you, or ask a calm and patient friend/relative to go out with you? My insurance company offered me a free two hour driving lesson to help me get back to driving (accident not my fault, so I guess they would have claimed their money back from the at-fault driver's insurance).

Good luck with your recovery and driving :)

Get some physio. I had a whiplash type injury and they cleared it up really quickly. I now have full movement in my neck again.

that is all really reassuring!

I have physio assessment booked in through insurance for next week. I'm also seeing an osteopath. it's been two and a half weeks so not sure how I should be feeling about everything atm

I will definitely ask about the back to driving driving lesson
