Strange pain when swallowing

I had a nasty virus about 6 weeks ago (fluey and gastric) and afterwards had a strange pain in my throat when swallowing - it's not a sore throat, it's more off to one side, kind of in my jaw/neck/ear area It went away for a bit, then i had a horrible cold/ sinusitus over xmas and now it's back.. is it a gland somewhere or what? i can't feel any lumps or any thing?

You need to visit your GP OP. Probably nothing but needs checking out all the same.

Yes fair enough - i will do. just wondered what it could be?
