broken coccyx

Has this ever happened to you? How long did it take to heal? What can I do to help it get better?

I fractured mine during child birth. Swelled up and bruised for a few weeks and it hurt to sit down. It actually caused me to throw my hip out when walking so I had to have physiotherapy. Ten year later I get the odd twinge and ache if I sit in one position too long.

Fell off a table
Took about a year.
Sucked

Thanks for your replies. So I'm in for the long haul then...my gp said 1-2 months but it's been 3 months now and no real improvement. Seeing physio.

Any recommendations on a good coccyx cushion or are they all the same?
