I need a root canal -- oh joy! I've just learned that I could go to Poland for the work (including travel and accommodation)for less money than going private here in the UK.

Has anyone done this? Was it a good experience? (well as good as can be expected -- can't say I'm look forward to a root canal under any circumstances)

Wow, Uwila. I had root canal done in Jan and it cost me about £120. Never heard of going to Poland!

No experience but how much money would you actually save? Would you all go as a family? It seems a long way to go for dentistry work!!

Can you not get it done under the NHS here as with the new fees it is a bargain really!
My dad's Polish employee went to the dentist over here and was amazed how gentle they were - said in Poland they are brutal!!!!

Yes, I can get it done on the NHS, but the dentist was quite keen to refer me for private work. So that made me nervous about why she didn't want to it. I think I may just get the root canal done on the NHS then get a nice private crown. In the end, this will probably cost less than the polish treatment.

But, I am not intrigued. There are loads of these polish travel services. Flight, and accommodation included. If I needed major work, I'd probably make a savings over UK private. Maybe if my kids need braces in ten years, I'll whisk them off to poland.
