My darling aunty (57yo) has just started chemo for stage 3 ovarian cancer.
It's been the most awful three months - she went to the doctor with IBS and was sent straight to hospital for a hysterectomy!!!
The doctors say they've got it all out but that there were microscopic cancer cells in the omemtum (lining of abdomen which hold all organs in I think)so they took that out too.
She also had ascites (fluid) with cancer in it which they drained.
Can anyone tell me their experiences of this? My poor aunty is panicking - we're very close and I want to help her any way I can.
