Well the title says most of it!

Yesterday I had a bit of a " visual" migraine. Get them now and again, usually goes within. 20 mins of taking ibuprofen and all is ok.

Sme yesterday, then I woke this morning, dull headache and got out of bed and fell over.

Lay down, tried again and felt dizzy and fell to right hand side.

Took ibuprofen and it settled, almost!

Still unsteady, def weak feeling right wrist and hand,

Migraine connected??

Gosh I don't know but I would call OOH for advice.

I developed dizziness after a migraine years ago but with no associated feelings of weakness. Hopefully someone else will be along soon with more experience.

Do you have someone with you to help you in case you fall again?

Milliways · 01/01/2014 22:02

Why don't you call 111 and see if they think you should be seen today as sounds like a GP should take a look.

Hope you get better soon :)

thegreylady · 01/01/2014 22:04

Could be a mini stroke you should get it checked asap.

Sackedoff · 01/01/2014 22:06

Please go to a and e now. I had a mini stroke this week with those symptoms. You need seeing asap.

I'm fine now but you are at a higher risk of a full stroke after a tia and it needs investigating properly to find the cause and make sure it doesn't happen again.

crabb · 01/01/2014 22:06

Please get checked out, sounds worrying to me.

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 01/01/2014 22:06

I think you should be checked by gp too

Sackedoff · 01/01/2014 22:07

I felt mostly fine by the way and like you thought it waa migraine. Please go and get seen.

lyndie · 01/01/2014 22:07

A&E now please, I'm a Dr, you need to be seen ASAP.

ReluctantBeing · 01/01/2014 22:09

That could be serious. Please go to A&E.

Eachpeachpearwherestheplum · 01/01/2014 22:16

Hope you are ok Twighlightsparkle

SantasPelvicFloor · 01/01/2014 22:19

You need to be seen ASAP

desperateforaholiday · 01/01/2014 22:25

I agree with everyone else, please go to a and e, I have had a tia and a stroke, those symptoms are very similar to mine when I had the tia. I hope you are ok

charitymum · 01/01/2014 22:26

A&E - do not wait. It could be TIA. Now please.

piratecat · 01/01/2014 22:28

i had a migrainous episode, that was like a stroke, and was treated as one until they did all tests.

i was dizzy, slurred speech and my left hand went weak and twisted. has your face dropped at one side?

anyway, please go to a&E xxx

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 01/01/2014 22:38

Could be hemiplegic migraine which causes weakness on one side.

But you really need seen now to rule out a stroke.

Hope all turns out OK. It does sound migrainous.

ReluctantBeing · 01/01/2014 23:21

What's a TIA?

AimeeDubucqdeRivery · 01/01/2014 23:32

Transient Ischaemic Attack, a mini stroke reluctant

lougle · 01/01/2014 23:40

It could be a hemiplegic migraine, but it would be much worse to assume that's the case and miss a stroke, than to get checked out and find it's a migraine.

just to give you an idea of how seriously it's taken, I phoned NHS direct with a severe migraine and as soon as I answered yes to 'have you dropped anything unintentionally', because I'd fumbled with my house keys and stored them, I had to go to A&E and due to the symptoms had a CT scan and was kept in overnight.

Sorry had no Internet, blooming orange!
