Ouch my thumb!

I banged my thumb really hard two days ago, I have acrylic nails on and my whole thumb feels really hot and is throbbing.

I can't get the nail off because I don't have any acetone but it bloody hurts. Im worried my whole nail is going to come off.

I don't know if it's just really badly bruised or what? But is there something I can do in the meantime to stop it hurting so much?

Do you think you could have damaged it under the nail and it's infected?

I'd give it a soak in some hot water with a bit of savalon/dettol/teatree oil in. Then when you go to bed dry it gently with kitchen roll and smother it in sudacrem/other antiseptic cream.
