Steroid injection treatment for trigger finger

Wondered if anyone has had this, and what I should expect during / after? Have an appointment next week to treat a trigger finger I've had for more than a year now... Thanks!

Dh had one - it was a tiny needle, and though it did hurt, it wasn't awful.

His eased for a little while but then recurred and he had surgery - 10 minutes and he was done, hasn't had any trouble since

My DM had this about a week ago.

She thinks she is already starting to see an improvement, but it can take a couple of weeks to work.

Ok cool, thank you... Glad to hear its a small needle, was a bit worried about that part! Hopefully it'll work but good to know the surgery isn't a huge deal either...

DH has had it a few times. He said it did hurt but was definitely worth it, and he went back a few weeks later to get it done on another finger.
