My bladder is useless :-/

I'm 40. I had a baby 4 years ago by emcs and as far as I can tell I don't have any pelvic floor issues.

In the last 6 months or so I have developed the most intense urgency. I get hardly any warning and then I NEED A WEE! I've had a few accidents because I just can't get to the loo in time. Capacity to hold urine = zeroHmm

Any ideas/advice very much appreciated.

Obvious question, have you been to your doctor about this yet?

Fanjanghoho · 28/12/2013 13:07

Could you be diabetic? That can cause urgency.

BigBroIsWatching · 28/12/2013 13:10

Go to your GP. It may not have anything to do with your pelvics, there can be a multitude of reasons for bladder urgency.

No GP visit yet - I don't want to waste their time over what could be a very minor issue.

It has started to affect my job though Sad

If its affecting your job, its not a 'minor issue'. And untreated minor issues are liable to become major issues.

Go and see your gp. Look after yourself.

Before your appointment, I'd consider going to the toilet to try for a wee once an hour, even though you're not feeling the urge.

I'd also cut out tea, coffee and cola type drinks. When ny dc had a problem with bedwetting, this was one of their suggestions.

Drink lots of clear fluids because concentrated urine is much stingier. Passing good volumes of weak urine is much healthier.

Definitely see your GP. He or she will not consider this to be minor or time wasting. It sounds very upsetting.

maybe its a urine infection?
Do go to your GP because you will need antibiotics
I'm not medically trained just speaking of experience
