Im sure the less crap you eat the less crap you WANT to eat. Have went from 3 packs a day to none. Doing ok
Wanna groan with me when I do fancy some cheese and onion?!

Oh no the C word! I'm trying SO hard to give them up. I can demolish a whole family pack at once. Dh can't watch me, it unnerves him too much. This is my 2nd week without but I nearly weakened yesterday.

And don't, just don't mention cheese and onion, please. My favourite...

well done for getting to your 2nd week thats GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD....
Are you any thinnner? Are you eating less crap in general?

I'm eating less full stop, cc, because of the heat. It's made a big difference. My waist is 6 cm thinner - so definitely steer away from the crisps. I tend to eat them when I'm reading a book, so don't even notice I'm doing it. I think that craving for crisps might be a body signal that we need starch so I try and eat potatoes with one meal a day.

Do you have any crisps in the house?

littlerach · 22/07/2006 14:12

I stopped eating them about 3 months ago, and can honestly say I don't miss them. They were my real weakness.

I had a couple of Sesations the other week, at a BBQ, and I kept waking up that night feeling really manky, almost dehydrated. Haven't bothered since.

Good luck!

cremolafoam · 22/07/2006 14:16

i really need to do this too. well done charliecat.
oh the salt and fat- they are my total weekness.
sssandy- i can also demolish a family pack if noone is watching

it is funny when i am holiday i never eat crisps as the flavours are yuk in france.

charliecat · 22/07/2006 14:16

Theres hula hoops for the kids lunch boxes.
And even though there were 26 walkers for 1.99 in the shop I left them there
I am getting podgy all over and i can totally contribute it to the crisps...

mmmm crisps. since doing my healthier eating/lose that weight thing i've given up crisps. I could eat a bag or more of sensations in a sitting (in the eve, tv munchies). have only had the odd nibble at parties since mid may and although i sometime miss them, the craving is not as strong. thank god.

Oh - can I join too? I am a real crisp-o-holic and can eat masses of them. Okay - so crisps are banned from now on.

charliecat · 23/07/2006 14:55

The more the merrier i cant just have 1 packet...more likely to be 2/3.

I was desperate for some c .... today. Thankfully I didn't have a chance to get to the shops otherwise I would definitely have bought some. Been thinking feverishly about them all day.

Saw that dh had bought some guacamole and salsa dips on Saturday, so assumed he had bought a huge packet of tacos too which he usually does. I would have eaten ALL of them, hunted everywhere but didn't find them. Seems he bought the dips and forgot about the tacos.

So this is still week 4! (But hanging on by the skin of my teeth)

Ulysees · 24/07/2006 21:40

I'm a crisp nut too. Boughty some snacks today that are dried broad beans, oil and salt. I've just had a small bowl of them and they work out at 14g fat per 100g so less than crisps. You can't eat as many either but they're really tasty, plus broad beans are good for you

I'm premenstrual so you can imagine how hard it is?

notasheep · 24/07/2006 22:07

Are pringles included here?

SSSandy · 25/07/2006 08:48

We'll have to check with charliecat.

I think though any kind of potato snack would count. I even include tacos which are made of corn but I eat them the same way I eat crisps I can't stop until there are none left...

SSSandy · 25/07/2006 17:10

Oh no, I succumbed. Went shopping this afternoon and I had been hankering for crisps all day so bought some and devoured them with a little (but not much) help from dd.

Now I feel slightly sick and very ashamed of myself, I can be such a pig (sigh)
