Evening Primrose Oil to ease PMT?

Does anyone have any experience of taking Evening Primrose Oil to help ease PMT?

I was on Microgynon for years but came off it after having DD 5 years ago and DH had a vasectomy. I thought the PMT would abate but if anything its got worse. 2 or 3 days before my perid I am snappy, irratable and exhausted.

If not EPO, then can anyone recommend anything else?

It doesn't seem to work on mood. Seems to be better for bloating & tender breasts something to do with prostaglandins. I took it for months at the highest dose but it had no affect.
Keeping blood sugar levels constant seems to work for me. I also take a multivitamin for women.
Agnus Catus is supposed to balance the hormones. I haven't tried it though. Also B vitamins B6 in particular. Magnesium also.
