every so often after I've had a wee when I wipe there is blood on the toilet paper. I'm not due on for another week or so. I'm quite worried as my friends mum had bladder cancer and it started like this.

go to your gp and tell her/him exactly what you describe.
don't worry too much, there are other possible reasons (polyps for example) that are benign.

Sounds like a possible UTI?

Get your wee dipped by the GP or practice nurse.

I had this recently and was diagnosed with a UTI. Really scary when it happens but antibiotics cleared it up!
