Hi,

I'm a male, 20 years old. I have been a type one diabetic since the age of 6 which as been perfeclty maintained up till the last 6 months when readings have been a bit haywire. However, they are now settling back down and getting a lot better!

I went to the nurse 3 weeks ago and got told i had high blood pressure. My pulse was also 120! This was at a resting pace.

For the last 6 weeks, I've noticed my heart 'vibating' and beating very hard a lot more, especially when resting. When I need to urinate I also feel like it is 'pushing' on my heart. I often get short of breath climbing a flight of stairs (I used to be very very active then got tendonitis meaning I'm not so active nowadays, got a BMI of 21) and also if having a drink of water.

I've started to get the occasional headache, severe heartburn in my throat (to the stage where I cannot physically think straight) which comes on randomly. I'm also constantly tired, and having the occasional nosebleed.

I obviously need to see a health professional, however I know that if i make a doctors appointment, I won't be able to get one for at least 7 days. I'm really starting to get worried, and can really feel my heart beating fast and hard at the moment, just lying down. I live 200 yards from the hospital, and was wondering on the best course of action?

Thanks!

We're not health professionals, you really need a proper opinion. I guess NHS Direct is gone but what about 111?
