Give me your remedies to make me better in time to enjoy my Christmas party tomorrow night. I'll take any quack nonsense Grin

Years ago I had these lozenges that actually numbed your throat...can't remember the name but they're small, chalky and orange. Amazing things.

Someone else might know the name.

Otherwise try warm water, honey and lemon.

Last resort try gargling warm salt water.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 20/12/2013 20:38

Gargle salt water

Tyrozets are what you need. Amazing things that you get from behind the counter in most pharmacies. Think they're the things Tap is talking about.

Go to the chemist and get hydrogen peroxide. Dilute and gargle regularly (don't swallow)

Sore throat spray from a pharmacist. I used it on Wednesday night and my throat had cleared up by yesterday morning. I sound like a man when I talk but at least it isn't sore :o

DorrisM · 20/12/2013 20:52

Tyrozets are brilliant, I find gargling with diluted tcp gets rid quickly.

IslaValargeone · 20/12/2013 20:52

Gargle salt water perhaps get a throat numbing spray or lozenge but most
importantly whack down vitamin C like nobody's business.
I superdose at the first sin of colds and sore throats and it really helps.
You excrete any excess so superdosing isn't harmful.

headlesslambrini · 20/12/2013 20:55

soluble aspirin. gargle and repeat every four hours.

Elfontheedge · 20/12/2013 23:01

I've just found the spray I got last time I had throat problems Smile difflam something. Sadly aspirin is a no-no as I'm allergic Hmm trying a salt water gargle before I go to bed though.
