Haven't felt this bad for three years. Is it something going round?

Started as a cold on Sunday morning. Stayed as a heavy cold until yesterday afternoon when it abruptly stepped up a gear. I now have a really nasty cough, temperature, still the cold, and every hard part of my head is a sea of pain. Sinuses, teeth, ears, head, it all hurts. Is this something going around or have I got an infection do you reckon>?

Also quite dizzy. It feels a bit like the flu I had in 2010. Is there a flu thing about?

There's always 'something' going around at any one time :) go to bed, take some painkillers and plenty of fluids and see if you feel any better tomorrow

Developed into a really chesty cough and although the chills, fever, headache, sinuses/teethache and really snotty nose have mostly gone, I still don't feel all that well. I still have a deep chesty cough and sore ear. It hasn't been as bad as flu, which I've had 3 times in my life and which each time included a 4 day spell of how I felt on Thursday. It's been like an accelerated flu. Definitely worse than a cold which I usually just work through just feeling a bit grotty (not a problem because I'm self-employed and work from home!)- I wouldn't have been able to drive safely for instance.
