Could it be fungus rather than eczema? I had this used a fungal spray ans was gone in a week :-)

Could it possibly be a fungal type problem? I ask as under the boobs it can be dark, warm, and damp - just as fungal type infections like it.

Try washing under the boobs 2-3 times per day with cool water. Towel dry, then dry some more with a hair dryer set on cool. Then if you wish some non perfumed talc. Also, wear natural fibre clothing to allow the skin to breathe.

If that doesn't help then maybe try some canestan cream or see your GP.

Try washing under there with Hibiscrub.

I saw it reccomended once on Embarassing Bodies, and it worked too. I have a problem with spots and rashes in my armpits, but if I was with Hibiscrub a few times a week it goes, and stays away.

Sounds like thrush.

Get some Canesten on them a couple of times a day. Also wash and air dry them at least twice a day if you can. Wear a fresh bra every day. If it doesn't ease within a week of doing this, go to the GP.

I developed eczema under my boobs when I was pregnant and I got a mild steroid cream from my gp that really helped.

ILoveAFullFridge · 15/12/2013 21:21

If itch is bad you can use Canesten HC (ie with hydrocortisone), which will help the rash heal faster.

I had this on my thighs when humungously pregnant in summer.

*Definition of a fungal infection - an infection caused by a fungus or yeast organism.

  • Definition of Eczema - a medical condition in which patches of skin become rough and inflamed with blisters which cause itching and bleeding.
CocktailQueen · 15/12/2013 21:25

Yy, sounds like fungal infection. Dry carefully under boobs, use talc. Maybe see gp and get steroid cream from him.

thoughtsbecomethings · 15/12/2013 21:26

Hibiscrub .. Where do I get that from

I buy mine on ebay, but you can get it from chemist websites like Express Chemist too.

It is pretty much identical to the stuff my gp prescribed me when I first went about the problem.

It's called intertrigo. I have it under my boobs too, as well as under my belly, in the creases at the top of my legs (in my groin, if you like)

You can get a cream/ointment from your dr called "Trimovate" which is anti fungal, anti bacterial and something else that I've forgotten. Works a charm.

Meow75 · 15/12/2013 21:31

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intertrigo

Aquelven · 15/12/2013 23:46

It's a really common problem with large breasts. Wash the area with lukewarm water & mild soap, dry it thoroughly, then slather on Sudocrem.
It's very similar to nappy rash & Sudocrem will cure it. Keep applying it till it clears, usually in two or three days.

LEMoncehadacatcalledSANTA · 16/12/2013 09:05

oh, i thought this was just me!! some good tips here - thanks ladies, i found that sudocreme or savlon whatever was in the cupboard works at the time - ewwwww to fungal infection though - atheletes foot of the boobage Shock

Has anyone that has had intertrigo figured out how to get rid of it? I have had it two months under my stomach and tried all antifungal creams u set the sub as well as powders, only one that worked for me was timodine and it looked like it nearly went away but overnight it started burning and the next day was back to red! It's very dry and peeling all over as well! Please help me!
