Hi, for the last 2 days the middle finger on my right hand has become so painful, it feels cold to the touch and I can't put any pressure on it, or hold anything properly, thing is I haven't damaged it or injured it in any way, any ideas??

If theres definitely been no trauma, it might be some kind of arthritis, or even gout (sadly gout is not confined to fat men, who drink port and wear smoking jackets). I get arthritis in my fingers from time to time, and find that ibuprofen gel Really helps. Try that, and see if it improves in the next day or two, otherwise go to the doctor.

Has your finger gone paler than the others? Possibly Raynaud's Syndrome?

Try keeping it warm and rested and if it's still as bad tomorrow, call GP...
