Would you go and get checked out for this?

I'm 9 1/2 weeks pregnant and have had a bad cough and cold for a week. The last few days my cough has got so much worse now my chest hurts. Because I'm pregnant I can't really take anything to help.
I'm away for the weekend and don't know weather to wait till I'm home or try and see someone tonight?

Hi. First of all congratulations. You sound like you have a virus. Generally they won't treat you for that if you are pregnant but it will not harm your baby in any way. It is miserable being ill when you are pregnant. Drink plenty of hot water and rest up.

No I wouldn't. Im 33 weeks pregnant & was really ill with some sort of virus but it never entered my head to go to the G.P.

Thanks for replying. Think I'll go to the doctor Monday. Think it has turned into a chest infection. :( my husband had the same thing a week ago. Hope my toddler doesn't get it!
