Periods have always been an issue.
Last year I had a scan, endometrial biopsy and tried the mirena (to no avail) test came back ok.
My last smear back in June was normal.
I have been pretty ill for the last month and since July when my dad died have been under immense stress and emotional turmoil.
I had a period on 12th November, then had a really bad gallstone attack and had my gallbladder removed on 30th by which time I was bleeding again.
Just been to the loo and am bleeding again.
So..12th nov, 27th Nov and now 12th dec.
Should I go and see the gp?
What can she do, if anything?
Am feeling very low generally but have got a nasty virus ATM (very sore throat, tight chest etc)
Help!!
:(

If there is no underlying reason for the bleeding she can prescribe Norethisterone for 10 days a month to control it. Yes I would see GP.

I would see GP and ask at that time for a referral to a gynaecologist.

GPs can be not up to speed at all when it comes to such issues and the cause needs to be properly determined. This is particularly so if you have always had problematic periods in terms of pain and or excessive bleeding.

Going back next week for some swabs.
She didn't seem Overly concerned...
