Pls advice me- 8 weeks sore throat!!!!

Hi. I am very worried. My throat is sore nearly 8 weeks, like I have something and it almost feels as if its closing.
I went to my GP and she said it looks sore and gave me antibiotics which ( IMHO) are not helping. 1 day to go.
Feeling very tired and exhausted and it realy boders me so much. Like now, I have need to clear it but I can't and its very uncomfortable.
Any advice pls is welcome. Thank you.

Your GP needs to take a swab and send it to the lab.

I had this for 6 weeks. Terrible pain, couldn't swallow. I lost over 10 pounds. I was given penicillin but it had no effect whatsoever. When I finally had a swab taken it turned out to be Strep B, resistant to penicillin.

I got better 3 days after being given a different antibiotic.

If you don't go back to the GP they will assume you are better, so you must go back.

Thank you for an advice. On monday I am going back to GP. I am just not scared that something is not wrong ...
