Should I have a flu jab?

Surgery have phoned asking me to go and have a flu jab. I have no idea why. I've never been asked before, and I don't think I'm in any of the high risk groups. I asked the receptionist and she said she didn't know why I'm on list, but I might as well have it if they're offering it.

I'm 39, not asthmatic, pregnant or have any long term conditions.

Any ideas? Should I go and have it anyway as they're offering? Are there any negative side effects?

I would have it, high risk or not. Flu sucks!

I would have it if I were you. Flu is very debilitating and since I've had the jab not even had a cold.Smile

Thanks. I spoke to the nurse today as the receptionist had asked her to call me. Apparently I've been asked this year because it's done centrally now, and I ticked a box because of a serious illness I had 25 yrs ago!

Anyway she said the same as you so I will have it.

Thanks for the advice.
