Arthritic hands, are compression/thermal gloves any good?

My Mum is suffering very badly with her hands and I'd like to buy her something that will help. She has topical gel and other painkillers and takes some supplements (sorry, I can't remember which) but her hands are always really cold and painful nonetheless.

I have been looking at various compression and thermal gloves online, but they seem to get very mixed reviews.

Are they any good and if so, can anyone recommend a particular brand or design?

TIA

I'm not sure on compression gloves, but in terms of keeping warm, the silver gloves you can buy through the Reynauds association are supposed to be very good. And they do fingerless so she could keep them on all the time. Then buy some pretty wristwarmers to wear on top and add extra warmth

Thank you CMOT, I haven't heard of those, but will definitely go and look. My dsis and niece both suffer from Reynauds, so I may also invest in a pair each for them.
