so - this week (since monday) have been feeling pretty rubbish: headache, stomach ache, loss of appetite, on and off nausea, and no energy; struggling to get out of bed every morning. Then last night bad lower back pain and abdominal pain.
I decided to see GP today. I did a urine sample because I thought good to rule it out since I've had two/three this year (and know what I feel like with it...)
After 40min wait the (locum) GP dipped the sample and (without a pause) checked it against the indicators and said there's nothing there. Chucked sample (and test) in bin. Checked my blood pressure; flashed a light in my throat (which is quite sore, but which she pronounced 'fine') then said perhaps I should try some ibuprofen for the headaches; probably a virus.
She told me to wait until Monday if symptoms persist please come back.
I guess my issue is: I'm concerned that she didn't actually test my urine properly (she literally dipped it in then checked it immediately; no wait.) I feel pretty rubbish; worse than at the start of the week really, and am pretty sure I'm getting a UTI.
Should I really wait until Monday? Really?!! Worst part is - busiest week at work (thankfully work from home); and supposed to work this weekend too... I really had no time to waste at a GP surgery to be told I have a 'virus' really rather
