I took DS1 to the doctors on Thursday as he had a large blister on the side of his tongue and started to develop a few red spots on hands and feet. the doctor thought it may be hand, foot and mouth.
He's not eaten since Tuesday, but today seems on the mend.
Ds2 has now developed spots. He has a blister in his mouth, but he has red fluid filled blisters all over.He has them on his bottom, knees, hands, feet, thighs and backs of his legs.
Now I don't know if it's the same thing or maybe chicken pox. Would they be similar spots? I'm trying to keep him off his feet and knees which is proving hard as he is 1yr.
Has anyone else had hand, foot and mouth all over the body. Any advice would be gratefully received

Images of chicken pox.

DS only had spots on his bottom, hands, feet and ulcers on his tonuge, tonsil, throat and inside his mouth, when he had H,F&M.

I posted a similar thread in the week about my dd1,she has huge blisters on her tongue ,some on her gums and roof of her mouth, then she developed little red spots on the palm of her hands and feet followed the next day by some under her arms and in her groin and buttocks. She was diagnosed with hand ,foot and mouth! She hasn't eaten for 4 days and is on her 2nd day refusing to talk, she is now also reluctant to drinking as it hurts!
The blisters on the body can have fluid in them.

Hi Whimsy

How is you ds doing?

DD came out in a rash all over her body, looks like little red pimples on sunday and fever. Took her to the GP this morning because it has been getting worse each day and she still has a mild fever. Was told that it is a' nonspecfic viral rash'.

Asked him about H,F&M and was told that with H,F&M, the rash should only be on the hands, feet, bottom and sores/ulcers in mouth/throat.

my dd has been 'off' most of the weekend and this week, just taken her to the doctors and she's got scarlet fever!!
symptoms are, red rash all over body, pale area around mouth, fever and strawberry tongue!!
there's me thinking it was just a heat rash!!
