I had a horrible vomiting and diarrhoea bug over the weekend and now my DD has it. I'm still feeling very weak and delicate and now I'm having to care for my poor DD. Does anyone know if I could catch it again? Frustrating thing is my DD already had a vomiting bug 2 months ago, seem so unfair she has it again. It's going to be a long winterHmm.

I think that I heard that the Norovirus is quite clever and changes over time and so, yes, you can catch it twice.

I think you are immune for about 6 weeks or so - I'd be surprised if you pick it up again so soon.

And now my DS has it too Hmm

You can catch it twice.

They were talking about Norovirus on our local news yesterday. They said you can catch it again because you don't build up a resistance to it.

Clean everything with a bleach solution, including lightswitches and door handles. Wash hands with soap and water and wash towels and bedding on a hot wash.

I hope you all feel better soon.

You're immune to bog standard bugs for a bit of time. Noro is an utter cunt to kill though.

You have to wash it off your hands with soap down the drain. Bleach is the only thing that comes close to killing it.

Every single surface needs to be cleaned. Boil wash for underwear. Use kitchen roll so you can dispose of it. Bugs are airborne when you're In the same room as somebody vomiting. When you're finished with the washing machine do a maintenance wash.

I spray door handles and what not with a bleach solution and let it drip off for a bit before wiping.

I hate this time of year with a passion. Hope you're on the mend soon.

Thanks everyone. Seems like the vomiting has finally stopped. I can finally go to bed. Big clean up campaign tomorrow Hmm. Not looking forward to that. Thanks for all replies and advice.
