hi fish, lots of dry skin in this family and Aveeno cream does the trick for us. Worth a try before using anything stronger. Boots have it (always on a weird shelf, ask the pharmacist)

foxinsocks · 13/07/2006 18:45

dunno - have you put any cream on it?

people get eczema in lots of different forms but there are loads of other skin complaints aswell (sorry, not very helpful am I!) but elbow bends and back of knees are the first places we all get eczema chez fox.

you can buy 1% hydrocortisone over the counter or something like eumovate if it is very itchy and perhaps see if that works (but don't think you use them if the skin is broken - have a look at the instructions)

go to the doc for definitive answer because unless there is something you only use one arm for, you would probably expect to see it in other places rather than being symmetrical (unless it is just pure coincidence)

might be something else

ta foxy
it never seems " enough" to go to the doctors for iyswim

yes I know what you mean! have you tried taking an oral antihistamine (like a piriton tablet or similar)? perhaps it is an allergic reaction of some sort
