Piles and cleanliness...

Promise promise promise I am not a poo troll. But, I've got bad piles. Docs don't seem that bothered but they are there and are a nuisance! Anyway, they don't itch, and are not sore but I just don't seem to be able to maintain cleanliness.

I go, I wipe- and after about half a loo roll I'm satisfied that I'm clean- but then when I go to the loo later there are still smears on the loo roll after wiping. It's driving me nuts and I keep on having to unblock the loo!! Feeling a bit self conscious about whether I smell down there too, so beginning to affect my confidence between the sheets.

Any fellow sufferers... Any tips? Don't really like using wet wipes, as my bum ends up really... Well... wet!!

Oh Lordy, what a post!Shock

Grin. Can't you use a wet wipe and then dry yourself with normal toilet paper?

My DH had hanging piles (not the technical term) and had them removed on the NHS. Is that a possibility for you?

They were like dead piles that had turned into long skin tags.

Cotton wool and warm water is your friend (but not down the loo).

Moist toilet tissues (Andrex Washlets) but DON'T throw them down the loo whatever the packet says. I keep nappy sacks in the bathroom for this purpose.

I second the moist loo roll great during period times as well
